Content Manager




The Content Manager is responsible for the comprehensive, accurate and expedient delivery of content across internal and external platforms for all Woodland Foods brands. This content includes, but is not limited to, product data points, consumer-focused advertisements and engagements, and internal promotions and product launches covering the entire Woodland Foods product line. The Content Manager will organize and help drive the execution of Marketing efforts including email marketing, social media marketing and additional promotional campaigns with the goal of reaching new consumers and engaging current customers to achieve optimal growth.


• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications or similar focus — additional Culinary, Food Science or Agriculture concentration or experience a plus

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ability to multi-task and adapt to changing demands

• Strong research skills, including previous experience with interviewing

• Experience managing and creating content for a wide variety of media, including digital and print

• Experience with mass marketing tools and social media platforms

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite


• Strong organization and communication skills

• Excellent writing skills and copyediting experience

• Ability to meet deadlines while working under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Collaborative spirit, ability to work with various teams (design, web, culinary) to create content and strategy

• Strategic mindset and ability to analyze data in order to generate effective communication strategies and content

• Ability to understand and present content for the needs of different audiences

• Ability to manage and understand the rules of grammar, syntax and style

• Natural self-starter with a knack for innovation and creative thinking

• Excellent attention to detail

• Knowledge of food ingredients and culinary techniques a plus



• Communicate professionalism and integrity through content development and management relative to deadlines, quality, branding and company objectives

• Ensure prompt delivery of internal and external product and market content

• Develop and manage a calendar outlining the schedule and execution of content

• Prepare and publish content for inclusion within company catalogs, tradeshows, physical mailings, social postings and other media

• Work with Marketing personnel to create engaging content and graphics for social media posts aimed at growing consumer engagement and follow counts

• Monitor social channels for unique opportunities and trends related to company goals

• Identify influential individuals, organizations and unique opportunities as a means to optimize digital marketing and company sales goals

• Monitor and help manage customer relations and feedback from social platforms

• Develop a story telling initiative utilizing photography, video and written content

• Prepare and manage content from other departments for revision and proofreading

• Research and aggregate published works and interviews for use as cited content

• Investigate, understand and utilize industry news and market trends affecting Woodland Foods products and customer segments

• Ensure adherence to Woodland Foods’ content style guide



· Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

· Collaborate with copywriter and web team to meet additional content needs
